I met Lauren through an organization called MOPS. Every year they do an evening event for husbands and wives called MOPS & POPS-you may remember the photoboothish pictures I posted. You can click here to see them:) I donated a family session to the silent auction and Lauren was my 2011 winner:) Family session are always and the S family was no exception:) We started off the sesh with a little cousins action. How cute are they??

Funny story…these are Lauren’s nephews (whose mom’s name happens to be Lauren too:). I took my kids to one of our favorite places, The Berry Patch - keep in mind I saw these kiddos in Aurora. We are on the hayrack ride and I’m seeing these two cuties and I’m thinking I just took their pictures…but I don’t recognize mom. I heard one of their names and sure enough it’s them with-their mom the other Lauren. I introduced myself and there you go- small world:)
This one is a bit of an outtake:) Can’t resist a little pout:)

Then on to the family…beginning with some mommy moments:)

And daddy too:)

l.o.v.e this one! Squish!

I love to sneak a few with mom and dad:)

Another fave from the session…

Thanks S family! It was so great hanging out with you!

Meet Chris:

Chris likes dogs, but not cats. He’s a swimmer and wants to pursue a career in marine biology. He has one of the BEST personalities I’ve met in a young man and he’s one of three boys. I felt like I was seeing a glimpse of my three boys in ten years…it was sweet. Three awesome boys who are the best of friends, totally hilarious, and have mad love for their mom. Yep, that would be pretty awesome! So we shot at the most mosquito-y place in the Denver metro area. Our repellant was useless against them. They were mutant mosquitoes and there were swarms! We had a contest going to see who would end up with the most bites. Final counts: Chris: 15 Caleb: 12 Gabe: 3 Mom: 18 and Me: 10 They were troopers and we still had a blast!!!

Favorite drink: Starbucks java chip frap-Yum!

We got the three of them in the next couple-you can see how much fun we had! We even snapped one with mom! Thanks Chris, you rocked it!!

I recently took a trip with my three boys to Nebraska for vacation. And while it is technically “vacation” I always like to book a few sessions while I’m there…And why not when you have super adorable families to photograph-like my cousin Kim’s…I just can’t get over her daughter’s curly blonde hair. LOVE! It was about 100 degrees with 100% humidity, but the entire family rocked it! For me- I think I broke a new sweatiest session ever record! Nebraska humidity, gotta love it:) Meet the adorable K family! Enjoy your sneak peek!

They are crazy about each other!

And you can see where they get it:)

Let me introduce you to the L family…they are near and dear friends of ours soon to be far and dear friends as they are on a new adventure that will lead them to a state far, far away called Tennessee. Even though they’ll technically be far, far away, they will always be near and dear to our hearts (everyone inserts “ahhh”). Seriously though, I love this family and they will be so missed. Neva is one of my favorite people in the world and as her husband put it- I am now on a BFF rebound:) I love you L family! Although you’re leaving will definitely be a sad one, we are SO excited to see how God moves in the next part of your journey and your legacy on this earth! Enjoy your sneak peek!

This is so their family! An you should know that Neva is an AMAZING singer and songwriter. You can take a listen here.

Happy 4th of July!!! I’m using today to catch up on some of my family’s old pictures and ran across some that I had to share! I had fun looking through pictures of my boys that have gotten so BIG in the last two years!! I loved remembering things that I had forgotten- thankful again for my camera. When you grab your camera today to document your holiday think out of the box. Don’t only point and shoot- take a moment and think about what you’d like to remember. Record the details of the day and tell the story. When I pick up my camera that’s my goal to tell the story so that years from now, ok, let’s be honest, days from now:) when I forget I can look through my albums (yes! get those photos into albums or send them to me and I’ll make a slideshow movie) you will remember the little things and it will make your heart sigh.
I couldn’t decide between which two to share, so I decided on both:)

And because it’s the 4th of July I had to share some from our past two years…
Grandma and Grandpa cooing over their newest grandson:) C is pretty crazy about them too!

Nervous about the fireworks, but safe in Daddy’s arms.

Sparklers without shoes-we are awesome parents:)

My husband shows his enthusiasm for fireworks-clearly his favorite thing!

2010 his nervousness is now full blown fear…

Yay! He’s wearing shoes:)

LOVE this:)

Carson just as enthused about fireworks…

Watching from a safe distance.

Happy 4th of July! Happy shooting! Kaela Green | 720.333.9011 | kaelagreenphoto@gmail.com

It’s just one of those times when I sigh and think how blessed I am to be a mother to my three boys…

So if you’re a photographer, or even someone who’s got an eye for pictures, you’ll probably notice 99 things wrong with this picture. I won’t name them all, the lighting is just not ideal for a portrait…BUT…I LOVE this picture. These are my boys. My three wonderful, sweet boys. I can remember what we were doing this day, hear their giggles, and why they are loving on each other. Granted it was just a few days ago, but if you know me that doesn’t mean I would remember:) LOL. This is why I love photography – lifestyle photography. It’s about capturing the true essence of a family and remembering that specific time or moment when you look back at the photographs. The emphasis isn’t on the technical, but the emotional. I would give up a technically perfect photograph any day if it lacks emotion and feeling. It’s not the technical perfection that will take your breath away, it’s your loved ones hugging and loving on each other, when the shutter went “click”.
