I am so excited to introduce the newest KGP baby! I’ve known mom for years:) In fact she babysat the kiddos that were in my hubby and I’s wedding the night of the rehearsal. Grandma sang in the wedding and grandpa married us! We go waaaay back and this family is woven with ours:) And I think in the history of grandmas there has never been a more anticipated baby- except maybe for my boys’ two grandmas;) Newborn sessions are so special for me and important too! I can’t wait for little baby girl C to see how much love her family had for her from day 1. Welcome to the world, baby girl.

Oh how I love this family! I’ve known them since we traveled back to Colorado and they are some of my favorite people in the world. I love, LOVE first birthdays! They are so much fun to document and every little birthday girl and boy is always so different with their cake! This was an extra special birthday because the W’s are like family to us and it was a double birthday bash! Baby Noah who turned one and Carson’s BFF, Luca, who turned 3:) If you follow my blog, you’re sure to recognize them-they are repeats and I hope that I’ll get to capture their memories for years to come! We had a great time reading, playing with leaves, and loving… This family rocked their session and I must say that even though I ran into the beginning of the game a tiny bit (diehard Husker fans-Yay GO BIG RED!!!) they were ever so forgiving:)

The S family has been my “oldest” clients. They were my first session waaaaaay back when KGP first started. They certainly are a favorite family both in front of my camera as well as when I’m not shooting. In fact, mom was one of my first friends when I moved to Colorado after college and the first to welcome me back to Colorado when we returned in ’08. I even have some pictures dating 9+ years ago rocking Young Married Life game night, but I’ll keep those tucked away in my scrapbooks:)

I met Lauren through an organization called MOPS. Every year they do an evening event for husbands and wives called MOPS & POPS-you may remember the photoboothish pictures I posted. You can click here to see them:) I donated a family session to the silent auction and Lauren was my 2011 winner:) Family session are always and the S family was no exception:) We started off the sesh with a little cousins action. How cute are they??
Funny story…these are Lauren’s nephews (whose mom’s name happens to be Lauren too:). I took my kids to one of our favorite places, The Berry Patch - keep in mind I saw these kiddos in Aurora. We are on the hayrack ride and I’m seeing these two cuties and I’m thinking I just took their pictures…but I don’t recognize mom. I heard one of their names and sure enough it’s them with-their mom the other Lauren. I introduced myself and there you go- small world:)

I recently took a trip with my three boys to Nebraska for vacation. And while it is technically “vacation” I always like to book a few sessions while I’m there…And why not when you have super adorable families to photograph-like my cousin Kim’s…I just can’t get over her daughter’s curly blonde hair. LOVE! It was about 100 degrees with 100% humidity, but the entire family rocked it! For me- I think I broke a new sweatiest session ever record!
