I love, LOVE first birthdays! They are so much fun to document and every little birthday girl and boy is always so different with their cake! This was an extra special birthday because the W’s are like family to us and it was a double birthday bash! Baby Noah who turned one and Carson’s BFF, Luca, who turned 3:) If you follow my blog, you’re sure to recognize them-they are repeats and I hope that I’ll get to capture their memories for years to come! And seriously Mariana knows how to throw a birthday party! I think she should be a party planner-the balloon rainbow was all her making! Happy birthday, boys!!! Enjoy your sneak peek:)
Thank you so much W family!

Oh man, this is hard! I SO want to post like 15 images from this mini-session, but have decided that they (probably) want to save their favorites for the surprise of their guests when they get their Save the Date in the mail:) So…I have decided to share just a few. Yes, I’m pouting- a little anyway:) I will blog a bit more about these two love birds when we have our engagement shoot in the spring. In the meantime, here’s Kim & Mike:
I LOVE when couples are willing to try stuff that seems-or just plain is silly/new/fun/different. I’ve learned throughout the years that I can allow myself to take risks and be creative and it’s okay when shots don’t work. I still give myself the freedom to make mistakes-when it doesn’t work I move on, but when it does…that’s pretty cool. What I often tell my clients is, “you’ll either love it or hate it”, but this one I can’t decide. So the idea was it’s a clock and they’re Save the Dates… I can’t tell if this works or if my dad’s humor got ahold of me. I should say my humor that I got from my dad, but I’m still in denial that my jokes are starting to sound like his. Oh boy…Tell me what you think in the comments.
This one I heart!
Thank K & M for the fun! You were rockstars!!! It still makes me laugh that we literally froze and the next night it was 50°, but that’s how Denver rolls-right?!? Can’t wait to see you in the spring!

What a year it was for me! I had the privilege of photographing new families and making new connections! I met brand new babies and saw other babies that are growing too fast! …Graduating seniors, beloved bliss, and lots and lots of smiling families! It was a great year! Here are some of my favorites from 2011…
Thank you 2011 clients for your love and support!
I am currently booking for 2012! Call or email to chat about your future session with KGP! Kaela Green | 720.333.9011 | kaelagreenphoto@gmail.com

Let me introduce you to the L family…they are near and dear friends of ours soon to be far and dear friends as they are on a new adventure that will lead them to a state far, far away called Tennessee. Even though they’ll technically be far, far away, they will always be near and dear to our hearts (everyone inserts “ahhh”). Seriously though, I love this family and they will be so missed. Neva is one of my favorite people in the world and as her husband put it- I am now on a BFF rebound:) I love you L family! Although you’re leaving will definitely be a sad one, we are SO excited to see how God moves in the next part of your journey and your legacy on this earth! Enjoy your sneak peek!
This is so their family! An you should know that Neva is an AMAZING singer and songwriter. You can take a listen here.

Happy 4th of July!!! I’m using today to catch up on some of my family’s old pictures and ran across some that I had to share! I had fun looking through pictures of my boys that have gotten so BIG in the last two years!! I loved remembering things that I had forgotten- thankful again for my camera. When you grab your camera today to document your holiday think out of the box. Don’t only point and shoot- take a moment and think about what you’d like to remember. Record the details of the day and tell the story. When I pick up my camera that’s my goal to tell the story so that years from now, ok, let’s be honest, days from now:) when I forget I can look through my albums (yes! get those photos into albums or send them to me and I’ll make a slideshow movie) you will remember the little things and it will make your heart sigh.
I couldn’t decide between which two to share, so I decided on both:)
And because it’s the 4th of July I had to share some from our past two years…
Grandma and Grandpa cooing over their newest grandson:) C is pretty crazy about them too!
Nervous about the fireworks, but safe in Daddy’s arms.
Sparklers without shoes-we are awesome parents:)
My husband shows his enthusiasm for fireworks-clearly his favorite thing!
2010 his nervousness is now full blown fear…
Yay! He’s wearing shoes:)
LOVE this:)
Carson just as enthused about fireworks…
Watching from a safe distance.
Happy 4th of July! Happy shooting! Kaela Green | 720.333.9011 | kaelagreenphoto@gmail.com
I love, love what I’m blessed to do! And it’s extra special when I’m able to be a part of something that is such an amazing cause! Foundations Academy joined with Hands For Students to reach the families in need in and around our community by providing food and clothing. The entire school joined together to collect food and clothing that would be given away. Families were invited to pick out clothing including shoes and coats. They were provided with a hot meal from some pretty awesome restaurants: Chick-fil-A of Brighton and Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar of Brighton. And given food to take home. It was heart warming to see so many staff members, students, and parents give their time and donations to serve others. It was a privilege for me to be a part of it! I loved seeing everyone serve with such joy. Thank you Foundations Academy students, staff, and parents and Hands For Students for your willing hearts!
I think this pretty much sums it up when it comes to serving others;)

Happy Monday everybody! I hope everyone’s Easter was wonderful! We had a GREAT Easter Sunday: church, followed by a fun Monopoly game, then a delicious dinner with fabulous friends, and we ended the evening Skyping with family:) It was a great day!
I have decided to enter a contest and I need your help deciding on which picture to submit. It’s an animal photo contest put on by a sa-weet photography magazine: Rangefinder. There are four categories, Domestic Animals, Wildlife Animals, My Pet & Me, and Animal Humor:) I have a pet session coming up this Saturday (yay!) and I might be submitting another entry for My Pet & Me or Animal Humor, but right now I want to focus on Wildlife. So here are the four images I’m thinking about using…
If you’re a regular reader, you’ve seen this family several times before on the blog here and on Facebook They are an amazing family and I am blessed to call them friends! Mariana is a hero mom of mine and I tell her I want to be like her when I grow up:) Dan is an artist and song writer and his album debut, RocketEnginePlane, is almost here-check him out!
They have the cutest little boy and now they have a sweet little addition to show off! Congratulations W family! Enjoy your sneak peek:)
Life with a 2 year old…always interesting!
[such love]
Big brother is showing baby brother his car:)
Squishy, fuzzy, newborn skin. [love]
…and when baby is sleeping, parents should be sleeping. I think this is the first time I had parents sleeping during the session-life with a newborn-sleep when you can:)
We were able to get a few with grandma:) She’s visiting from Brazil!
[together]
